that has played a significant role in promoting and defending civil liberties in our community* during the past year.

* The Santa Clara Valley Chapter of the ACLU of Northern California, Inc. is the local voice and community network for members of the American Civil Liberties Union who live or work in the Santa Clara Valley cities of Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Gatos, Milpitas,Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, San Jose, Santa Clara, Saratoga, and Sunnyvale. Nominees for the award need not be ACLU members.
The 2007 Don Edwards Civil Liberties Award Recipient will be recognized at a press conference, presentation ceremony and reception in their honor on
Sunday April 27, 2008 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in San Jose. The award recipient will be announced by March 4, 2008.
